Here’s what’s new since this past Wednesday:

Home Page:

  • At worship next Sunday, April 9, Rev. Molly will be in the pulpit with a sermon titled “Pain and the Brain.”
  • Between worship services, there will be a special congregational meeting at 10 a.m. to vote on whether to declare our church a “sanctuary congregation.” Members who cannot attend can submit a proxy vote.
  • Early afternoon activities include the quarterly Membership 101 class.
  • New on the home page this week is a short video of the congregation singing “Now Let Us Sing.”

April 2 Sermon – “Rights at Risk” – Video: On the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee’s “Justice Sunday,” Rev. Molly Housh Gordon spoke about the UUSC’s “Rights at Risk” program that asks us to “join in support of marginalized communities targeted because of who they are: people under particular threat because of religion, race, and immigrant or refugee status.” She explored how spiritual growth never comes without discomfort and asked the congregation to consider its own capacity for risk as a vote approaches on April 9, 2017 on whether to declare our church a “sanctuary congregation.”

This new video page is also now linked on the Sermon Archive and Photo/Video pages.
