The Nominating Committee is currently seeking volunteers interested in serving our liberal religious community in two meaningful ways:
- As members of our Board of Trustees
- As delegates to the UUA General Assembly
Each year three positions become available on our nine-member Board of Trustees. The board is the governing body of the church. It plays an important advisory role and provides financial oversight and short- and long-term guidance on matters of policy. The board meets monthly, and board terms last for three years.
The second volunteer opportunity is to serve as one of six official UUCC delegates at the annual UUA General Assembly, which will be held in Kansas City this year from June 20 to 24. While attendance at GA is open to everyone, delegates have the opportunity to debate and vote on major issues affecting our denomination. More information about serving as a delegate can be found here.
Nominations for the Board of Trustees and GA delegates must be received by March 10. Do not be shy – self-nominations are encouraged.
If you would like to volunteer or nominate someone other than yourself, or if you have questions, email Rev. Molly or any of the Nominating Committee members, Kevin Fritsche, Maria Oropallo and Peter Holmes, using the email links below:
