What to Expect

Both adult services and Sunday school begin promptly at 10:30. The YUUTS (6th-8th graders) and High School Sunday School (9th-12th graders)  go into their own classroom, while all of the other kids meet in the Centering Room. After a brief ritual the Potter (preschool) kids go to their class with their teacher. After the lesson, the K-5th graders go off to their classrooms (about 10:45). These classes last until 11:40, when the big triangle will ring, calling the youngsters back to the Centering Room for a closing circle. At 11:45 the Potter kids will go back to their class and wait for their parents or siblings to pick them up. The older kids will be dismissed to find their parents.

All of the children start upstairs with the adults on the first Sunday of each month. This takes the place of Centering. When we head downstairs, the Potter kids go to their class, as do the YUUTS and High Schoolers.  The two other classes either go to their rooms, or to Service Sunday in the Centering room.

Included in each week’s Order of Service will be a synopsis of the Sunday school happenings of that day, along with a preview of the next Sunday’s events.
