Canned Food Needed for Easter Hunt

Believe it or not, spring is right around the corner, and Easter is not far behind.  On Easter morning, while the adults exchange flowers upstairs, the kids will be hunting for canned goods in the back woods.  So….we need some canned goods to hunt.  Please bring your donations by Sunday, 3/28.  (After the cans are found by our kids, they (cans, not kids) will find their way to the Central Missouri Food Bank!)

What’s Planned for Sunday School next Sunday (3/14/10)…

• The Potter (preschool) class is playing at the water table as they discover the joys of water play.
• The Schweitzer (K-2nd) class is illustrating a story as they learn about a ‘Starr’ and a bell.
• The Thoreau (3rd-5th) class is discussing the tool ‘questioning’ as they play “Have You Ever?”.
• The YUUTS (6th-8th) are considering our similarities to other faiths, and creating abstract sculptures.
• The High School Class is talking about second chances as they watch part of the film ‘Hoosiers’.

3rd Sunday Lunches

Our next 3rd Sunday Lunch, on 3/21/10, will center around baking cookies for the Ronald McDonald House.  After a quick meal, we will gather in the upstairs kitchen to mix and bake tasty chocolate chip cookies for the families staying at Columbia’s Ronald McDonald House.  Please let Lisa F. know if you can come!
